Classes

These are our four basic classes each with their starting stat bonus.

Mage: +2 int, +1 dex

Thief: +2 dex, +1 str

Cleric: +2 int, +1 vit

Swordsmen: +2 vit, +1 str

Stats

All classes will have 15 stat points to place where they wish:

Strength (str): This affects melee damage. This stat also affects strength based scenarios, for example, lifting a boulder or pushing a log.

Vitality (vit) : Vitality determines how many health points a character has. This also determines a character’s ability to resist certain status effects.

Dexterity (dex): Dexterity affects accuracy and speed.  The faster a character is the higher chance to dodge. This skill also affects dexterity based scenarios, for example lock picking.

Intelligence (int) :  Intelligence determines one’s magical ability. This stat also affects one’s ability to make potions and other such items.

Luck (lck):  This stat affects all sort of random events. Maybe you’ll get lucky and the enemy will just decide to run away.. or maybe the gods themselves will come down from the heavens and smite you all.. who knows.. but the luck stat does determine your odds.


The Rules

Adventure Quest will be played in a turn based manner via swapnote.  The Dungeon Master (DM) will be a neutral party and will keep the game fair and balanced.  

  • Each turn = just one action. You can reply how you wish as long as its clear as to what you are attempting to do.
  • Each swapnote will be on an individual basis unless you are grouped into a party. Then the swapnote will be sent as a mass message to all those within the group.
  • The player will be responsible for keeping up with their own maps, character stats, and equip. The DM will be keeping his own notes on all the players as well.
  • The DM will be working on a set schedule to keep the game moving forward. As of now the game will be updated on Monday, Friday, and Wednesday, in that order. Individuals who do not take a turn during each phase will have their turn played automatically for them.
  • The DM will (attempt) to recap the week via tumblr. This is just to serve as a log for the players and an experiment on my behalf.
